Yes, yes…I know what you’re thinking. Don’t you guys re-design the website every 6 months? Yeah, I like to tweak things up and try new things every once & awhile. I like to change color schemes since I’m fickle. Now, I’m thinking it’s time to re-format and change up ReadJunk.com completely! This entry is mostly me thinking out loud and I’d love to hear your thoughts, opinions, etc.!
Since I read a lot of blogs these days; I think the way that ReadJunk.com is and operates, it would best be suited as a blog like BrooklynVegan, Pitchfork, Prefix, Stereogum and the other... |

I posted a blog entry last week over at SkaPunkPhotos.com, so I might as well tell people about it. So yeah, check out my write up of my favorite photos I took so far this year:
I’ve been to quite a few shows this year (more than usual it seems), and most of these shows I’ve been scoring photo passes. So I figured I’d post my top ten favorite photos of 2008 so far. | My 30th birthday is on July 19th and I don’t know what I should do to celebrate it. I don’t want to do the same old boring thing where I go to work, go out to lunch/dinner and that’s about it. Since my birthday is on a Saturday, I want to do something that’s fun and something I don’t normally do. I could have another party with karaoke but I always do karaoke and I’m getting sick of it. Nothing like trying to sing a song and having your asshole twin brother shout out “YOU SUCK!” Maybe take a weekend trip to somewhere like Montreal or Toronto? I really need some help with ReadJunk.com's forum. I'm currently trying to upgrade the forum and I'm having a bunch of problems. First problem is the current speed of the index.php file, it loads extremely slow. So not sure if it's the MODs that I installed, my shitty host, or I need to upgrade the forum. This weekend I re-launched my photography website SkaPunkPhotos.com. For only having the website up for less than a year, I wasn't entirely happy with the way it looked and I felt it deserved a change. But then again I'm a fickle sod.  The site is less black and has a more lime green color scheme going. It might make some people sick but I think it looks great. I coded the whole thing and just used old PHP elements from the old site. I only needed some help from my programmer friend Doug.

| Last Saturday, I thought I was being smart with saving money on gas, when in fact I was an idiot. I was an idiot because I almost got stranded in Manhattan late Saturday night after the Rogue Wave show. I headed into NYC in the earlier evening, and decided I’d just get gas right before the exit for The George Washington Bridge. It’s still technically NJ so the gas is about 40 cents cheaper than where I live. Figures the one time I actually stop at this gas station, the damn station is closed down because they ran out of gas. I got pissed and just speed off and went into the city anyway. I... |

I shot the AP tour for Alternative Press this Friday at Irving Plaza in NYC. They posted the photos I sent to them today. They asked for 10 photos, I sent 12. Everyone else seemed to send them 20-30 so I don't know what's the deal with that. You can view those here. If you go to page 4 on the flash image thing, you can see my photos there.
Who knows if they will use any of these for the magazine but here's hoping! It will be nice to finally get published somewhere and get SOME money for... |

I had no plans to see this tour, in fact I really can't stand this type of music. It's music for 13 year olds pretty much. But I got an opportunity to shoot for Alternative Press Magazine and their website so I decided to take that opportunity. This was their tour and the photos will be posted on their tour blog later today (I'll have the link for it soon). I got stuck in the usual GW Bridge BS, this time it's 8 dollars to sit in traffic for an hour! Hooray for NY!

This weekend I was in CT visiting my girlfriend and we decided to take a hike up the “Sleeping Giant” in Mount Carmel/Hamden, Ct. The Mountain is right by her school so might as well try it out once. I don’t hike too often just because I complain too much and I’m a lazy shit. I don’t know what it is with hikes, but every time I seem to pull my groin muscle. Thankfully this hike wasn’t as bad as the one I did up in Catskills with my older brother last year. There’s nothing like hiking up from start to finish with a pulled groin. FUN! I guess I just need to stretch first?

| Do you know what annoys the living crap out of me lately? People (photographers in general) who have to be hip with retarded Internet lingo and use words like "Photogs" or "Tog" to describe a photographer. When did this stupid word come to be and when is it going away? I just cringe when I read or hear this word. "Oh, I get to meet all my fellow photogs in the photo pit." "Hey I wonder what that ‘Tog is shooting with?" Do you people realize how dumb you sound? What’s wrong with typing out an extra few letters and spelling out "PHOTOGRAPHER?!"
