Video: June Tabor & Oysterband – Love Will Tear Us Apart (Later with Jools Holland)

Oysterband is one of the few bands I’ve been listening for many years and still haven’t seen them live. Who knows if they will ever come play NYC again but in the meantime, I guess I have to resort to watching videos on YouTube. The British folk band played Later with Jools Holland with June Tabor and cover the Joy Division “Love Will Tear Us Apart.” Check it out!

Video: Craig Ferguson sings a punk song with Steve Jones for Scotland show

Craig Ferguson is back in his home country of Scotland this week, but before he went, he jammed out to a punk song with guitarist Steve Jones of Sex Pistols. There’s even lady bagpipers too! Sounds a wee bit like Real McKenzies no? It’s lip synced but still fun to see.

Mike Herrera of MxPx performed two songs over in Cologne, Germany for the fine folks of Cardinal Sessions. Mike played “For Always” and “Aces Up” acoustically, which you can watch the videos below. For this video, it’s a simple concept but done very well! Mat singing in front of the camera in various locations, blended in so nicely! I love it! Check it out below:

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released one of my favorite albums last year. He’s still making the rounds and touring here and there. I think he just played Coachella? Noel stopped by Kimmel Live and performed “AKA… What a Life!,” which is a great driving song and he also plays one of my favorite Oasis songs “Don’t Look Back in Anger.”

Video: Madness – “Night Boat to Cairo” (Coachella 2012)

Madness have made their return to the States by performing at Coachella 2012. They then will be playing a few West Coast dates, which I wanted to attend when I go to San Francisco but I’m going later in the month. I’m bummed but I really wish the band decides to play New York City in the near future, since their show in ’99 at Irving Plaza is still at the top of my list as one of my favorite shows of all-time.
