Slightly jangly folk that goes at an unhurried donkey’s pace, “Thugs and China Dolls” has some unexpected gems. If you can get past the vocals that are simultaneously high, nasal, and mealy-mouthed, the lyrics are smart and the simple banjo-and-drums accompaniment can be cute.

Everybody loves a good road trip movie. Road Trip is a funny comedy and it’s available on Blu-Ray for the first time! You just have to get it at Best Buy if you want it. This is Todd Phillips’ first non-documentary movie that put him on the map and it still holds up as being very funny after 12 years.

Chuck was always the little show that could with a passionate fan base, NBC & Warner Bros allowed it to go out on its own terms and for that I’m forever grateful.

Pennywise– “All or Nothing”

After Jim Lindberg left Pennywise to be a “Punk Rock” Dad in 2009 and be closer to his children, the state of Pennywise was left up in the air. In early 2010 Zoli Teglas, formerly of the California Hardcore punk band Ignite, joined the band and has been touring with Pennywise since. Teglas’ introduction into the group, also reinvigorated them as they went into the studio to deliver one of their best albums to date, in “All or Nothing.”

Those crazy Canadian Scots are back with their 7th studio release (not including live albums) and their 3rd studio album with Fat Wreck Chords. Their last release was “Shine Not Burn” and it was a live acoustic album. Their new release “Westwinds” is more like the Real McKenzies’ last studio album “Off The Leash” than their earlier stuff.
