Oz The Great and Powerful is an interesting prequel to Wizard of Oz. While it doesn’t hold a candle to the 1939 film, it’s still a fun flick if you’re a fan of the books and the classic movie.

Big D and the Kids Table – “Stroll”

Record Label: Strictly Rude Records
Genre: Stroll
Buy On Amazon

With the help of the fans via a Kickstarter campaign, Big D and the Kids Table were able to round up some dough to release not one but two brand new albums simultaneously. The first album, “Stomp” harkens back to the “Good Luck” era and the sound of the late 90’s ska punk glory days. The second album titled “Stroll” picks up where “Fluent In Stroll” left off with a different sound from the Boston boys that that simply call just that…stroll. Since these are dual albums, I’m going to review both individually. This is what I think of “Stroll”.

Kevin Nealon – “Whelmed..But Not Overly”

Record Label: New Wave Dynamics
Genre: Comedy
Buy on Amazon.com

Former SNL Weekend Update anchor Kevin Nealon is back with a new stand-up album. When Nealon was on Weekend Update, his jokes were hit or miss and the same can be said for his stand up as well. But for the most part, Whelmed..But Not Overly will offer up plenty of chuckles if you’re a fan.

Genre: Singer/Songwriter
Band Link: http://www.mandosaenzmusic.com
Buy on Amazon.com

Every once and awhile, I’ll stumble over a musician or band that stands out from the saturated batch. Mando Saenz is one of those guys. Studebaker is his third solo album (first in 5 years!) and it offers the perfect blend of Americana, honky-tonk, rock and folk.

Space March – “Mountain King”

Record Label: Hark Records
Genre: New Wave
Buy on Amazon.com

Space March, aka, Craig Simmons is back with another synth-pop album that sounds like its straight out of the 80s! While this album is decent, I think his previous album Monumental is better.

Written By: Skip Woods
Directed By: John Moore

A Good Day To Die Hard isn’t that great and probably shouldn’t have been made. While the movie has a few moments that were enjoyable, I just didn’t like this film all that much.
