A Global Threat "Where The Sun Never Sets"

Here's a band who I knew existed for a few years, but never actually listened to the music until now. This seems to be the case in most CDs I review. I'm sheltered, what can I say. A Global Threat has that 80's old school punk/hardcore sound similar to Minor Threat, Gorilla Biscuits, and Black Flag. Their music definitely has that aggressive, fast sound. The vocals are reminisces of Ian Mackeye's in his Minor Threat heyday, especially in the song "Stuck in the Skull."

I haven't heard A Global Threat's other albums to compare this with those. The production of the CD is a little rough sometimes but that gives it that classic sound that many people have grown up listening to. The good thing while listening to "Where The Sun Never Sets," is I never got bored with the songs. They were short enough that my ADD didn't kick in and make me skip to the next track. The vocals are pretty good, and sound tough & mean. I like hearing that in punk; this isn't that pussy whiny pop crap that's for sure! If you want to check out some Boston punk rock, and hear some real punk, than look no further with A Global Threat.
