Few bands can pull off punk that slips into hardcore, but Rise Against make it look easy. Fast, melodic punk with some hardcore singing (yes, SINGING) and hardcore energy. These guys are a dynamo - energetic, catchy punk/hardcore with very thoughtful (and not preachy or overt) political lyrics. Really strong release - this is one of the most original hardcore bands around.
