DeVotchKa have a new album coming out on Anti Records on March 1st called ‘100 Lovers. ‘ A brand new music video premiered online at AOL Spinner. The video was directed by the immensely creative animator and designer Chloe Rodham.

“The music of DeVotchKa is incredibly inspirational,” director Rodham explains. “I wanted the design and technique of the video to reflect the quirky style of the music, with an eclectic mix of influences. Overall the styling has an Eastern European feel, I wanted the piece to hint at a foreign location, as well as drawing you in with the faded grandeur of the ornate birdcages creating a dark, yet magical atmosphere. Despite these cheerful, romanticised visuals, the film hints at the bittersweet nature of love, which prevails throughout the music.”
