Music Video: The Phenomenauts – “I’m With Neil”

San Francisco’s sci-fi rock band The Phenomenauts have premiered a video for their new song, “I’m With Neil” on Wired today. Pretty much it’s a man-crush song about Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The video and song (seen here) are an homage to noted astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and the video is packed with clips of his best media moments.

Says vocalist/guitarist Commander Angel Nova on the idea behind the video, “We have been aware of how great Neil is for a long time. When he was on the Daily Show talking about how we needed to double NASA’s budget, we decided that we should make a song to encourage our fans to love him too. Neil has this amazing and contagious, child-like, excitement for learning about the universe that is just so great! He is inspiring and brilliant and we just want to spread his message of hope and intelligence as far and wide as we can.”
