This week brings a very exciting feature to ‘Pleased To Hear You.’ It was announced earlier in the week that A-F Records had recently signed 3 new bands to the label, World’s Scariest Police Chases, Worship This!, and All Dinosaurs. A-F Records is a fantastic independent record label out of Pittsburgh. The label has been home to many great bands over the years such as Anti-Flag, Modey Lemon, The Unseen, New Mexican Disaster Squad, and many others. This week we decided we were going to feature these 3 new signees who are bound to be some of your favorite new bands.

Band: World’s Scariest Police Chases

I lived in Pittsburgh for 10 years and if I learned anything in that time it is that Pittsburgh does punk rock right. World’s Scariest Police Chases continues that tradition. This band has aggression, grit, and sense of humor. If you don’t believe me, read their Facebook page announcing their A-F Records signing. Having never seen this band live before, the thing that really resonated with me on the song You’re Only Punk Once is that they are having an awesome time. I can’t wait to have an awesome time seeing them play.

It is so refreshing in 2013 to listen to a band that is punk to the core with such a gift for melody. These are songs you want to listen to over and over again while singing at the top of your lungs. One of the things that immediately captured my attention was that the music is so sincere. It is true blue heart on your sleeve music with vocals so completely passionate that you instantly fall in love with the band.

All Dinosaurs is a brutal assault of loud, fast, and hard. The band grabs you by the shirt collar and doesn’t let go. This is the way you should want your rock ‘n’ roll…completely in your face. I am completely smitten with the drumming from these 2 songs. The rhythms are the driving force behind their sound and elevate their music to a next level.
