Freddy Vs Jason (Review 1)

Starring: Robert Englund, Ken Kirzinger, Monica Keena, Jason Ritter, Kelly Rowland, Lochlyn Munro
Directed By: Ronny Yu
This movie has been in and out of production for years, people have been anxiously awaiting the battle between horror two kings of terror. FINALLY the movie is here, and it was exactly what I expected it to be...absolutely fantastic.

The movie begins with the story of Freddy (Englund), with flashbacks of the previous Nightmare on Elm Street movies. This was definitely a great idea for people who forgot a lot of Freddy's back-story. He's weak, he needs someone to help him kill, so who's dreams does Freddy terrorize this time? Why it's our favorite pal Jason Voorhees (Kirzinger). I don't want to give away anything about this movie; it's one of those "you have to see it to believe it" kind of movie. Although reading the paper this morning, they gave the movie 1 star, a terrible review and gave away most of the movie. I don't wanna do that. I just want to write this and be one of the few people that absolutely loved the movie.

Ok, so Freddy is controlling Jason on this killing spree. The more Jason kills, the stronger Freddy becomes. Lori (Monica Keena) is basically Freddy's new bitch (the best way I can put it...). She lives in the house where the Nightmare movies all took place. After her friend is brutally murdered by Jason upstairs in her home, Lori, Will (Ritter), and Kia (Destiny's Child's Kelly Rowland) all must stick together to stay alive and defeat the two terrorizing their town. Everything leading up until the final battle is so entertaining; I didn't want the movie to end. Freddy was his usual bastard self with his classic one liners (oh he's such a comedian..Haha). While Jason was, well…Jason. He was impossible to hurt and slow as a contestant in the Special Olympics.

The final battle finishes off at Camp Crystal Lake; Jason's home sweet home. I won't tell you who dies, who wins, or what not, I'll just say it was the most fun I've had at the movies. This was the best Jason movie by far and the second best Nightmare on Elm St. movie.

If you don't have a sense of humor or if you hate horror movies don't bother with this one. It's full of laughs, gore galore, and cheesiness. It's a fun time. :)
