OCEANSIDE, Calif. - An actor who appeared in "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" has been arrested in connection with an attack on his former girlfriend, authorities said Tuesday.
Shelley Malil, 43, was arrested Monday night as he got off a train in Oceanside, Lt. Phil Brust of the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a statement.
Malil had taken the train from Los Angeles to meet with his attorney, who along with family and friends had persuaded him to turn himself in, police said.
