99% of you probably have no idea who Charles B. Griffith is but I felt that I should post this. While looking for some information for a review, a found a little notation on Wikipedia that referenced a brief write-up on Variety stating that Charles Griffith had passed away. For those who don't know who he was, Charles B. Griffith had worked with Roger Corman on dozens of movies and wrote such films as "Eat My Dust", "Death Race: 2000", "The Little Shop of Horrors", "The Wild Angels" and "A Bucket of Blood". Having grown up with a love for these kind of odd and offbeat films. These movies pale in comparison to the greatest movies of the past century but to me they were more important than anyone could ever imagine. Charles B. Griffith passed away on September 28, 2007.
This blog had a pretty good write-up and provided links to others that paid tribute to the master scenarist. Check it out HERE |
