Chris Pine would have been a good choice too. I remember Common being up for the role at one point. I’m just glad it’s not Jack Black, JT. would have been dumb.

Well at least Jack Black wasn’t picked. He was rumored for a long time to star in Green Lantern when one of the earlier scripts was about Hal Jordan losing his ring or some crap and Jack Black finding it and becoming the Green Lantern. That would’ve been awful!

Hal Jordan Green Lantern, I presume. They should take a chance and go with the Guy Gardner interpretation – have a hero who’s a complete asshole. Maybe get Sean Penn circa 1987.

I look forward to seeing a Green Lantern movie. I’m not a big fan of Ryan Reynolds since he doesn’t pull off the comic characters very well. He’s been Deadpool and he ’s also been Hannibal King in Blade Trinity. Both roles that weren’t anything special. I would’ve preferred another actor in the role such as Chris Pine who was rumored a few months ago to be considered for Green Lantern.
