Canadian band Rush calls it quits

Sad day for mulleted hockey fans everywhere. From the band's site:

"We move in circles, the paths of our lives looping and joining up again in a geocentric centrifuge. At some points along the way, a mirror is held up and we see hidden angles. That circle can be a line. That line may be the beginning of a steady philosopher's walk or the finish line of a stamina-testing marathon. But we have looked into the mirror and while the circles will continue to revolve and evolve, this particu
lar line must end.

"It can't be simply stated, but it deserves simplicity to be clear: we owe everything to you.

"Circles, and wheels, will keep spinning. Geddy is looking to spend more time with his family and will open up a baseball camp for underprivileged children; Alex is pursuing his acting career; and I... I am a student and I will continue to learn."

"Thank you. All of you. Thank you.

--Neil Peart"
