POP-PUNK TRIO TURNS TO THE SILVER SCREEN FOR INSPIRATION ON NEW ALBUM

Danish born, Los Angeles based pop-punk trio HorrorPops will unveil their hotly anticipated third album, Kiss Kiss Kill Kill, on February 5th courtesy of Hellcat Records. Inspired by thematic elements from vintage films and classic soundtracks, the noir-influenced release emphasizes the band's unique ability to intermingle a variety of influences ranging from punk, rockabilly, new wave and surf.

Featuring the stu
nning Patricia Day (lead vocals/upright bass) alongside Nekroman (lead guitar/vocals) and Niedermeier (drums/vocals), HorrorPops revisit the new wave feel of their critically celebrated debut, Hell Yeah!, on Kiss Kiss Kill Kill, and embrace their, resulting in a highly contagious and extremely danceable style of rock that will appeal to new and old fans alike.

As the noir styled artwork suggests, HorrorPops turned to the silver screen for inspiration on Kiss Kiss Kill Kill. Day's sultry pop vocals and Nekroman's chilling riffs create a genuine sense of tension and intrigue. From the audacious escape decscribed in the opening track, "Thelma & Louise," to the thrilling buildup of "Hitchcock Starlet," the album does an excellent job of keeping to the exhilarating theme of suspense.

Though the exceptional frontwoman is often compared to Gwen Stefani and Siouxsie Sioux, Day exudes an inimitable style that incorporates both her visionary style and her talent. Never one to succumb to passing trends, Day fabricates everything from the group's stage show to her wardrobe. With an unmistakable approach it's no wonder the group has amassed a vast loyal fan base over the years.

Kiss Kiss Kill Kill is another gusty release from one of pop-rock's most unique and daring bands. Check out the HorrorPops live in 2008!!!
