"It'd be an understatement to say Luke Temple is just another dude strumming on New York's stages. His pop-based folk songs are immaculately arranged and composed, utilizing organic, orchestral and electronic elements." – Billboard

"a variety of romanticized and alienated imagery that's snatched straight from a time when squares were there to be looked at and made strange... Temple's various gifts amplify each other." - Pitchfork (7.4)

"Mr. Temple isn't part of any particular school â
€” not even that all-purpose new songwriters' catchall, freak-folk — and his private world is fascinating." – Jon Pareles, New York Times

Billboard Magazine ran a great peace on Luke Temple this week. Luke discussed his aim to "take the guy with the guitar and put him in a new suit", and also briefly mentioned his next project, which will be released via Secretly Canadian imprint St. Ives—an exclusive, vinyl-only label. Only about five hundred copies will be printed (on recycled vinyl sleeves), and Luke will be doing the artwork on each sleeve individually, by hand.

Luke Temple will be joining Peter Morén of Peter Bjorn and John starting this Monday for New York and Boston dates.

Luke's most recent full-length Snowbeast was recently named one of the "Top 15 Albums of 2007" by Daytrotter. Luke also recorded another Daytrotter session while he was in Austin, TX for SXSW last month, which will be available in the next week. Luke also recently released a limited edition seven inch via the highly exclusive Seven Inch Project under the name "BRAIN". Only five hundred copies of Brain were printed. Two new songs, "They're Gonna Land" and "You Could Be Anywhere", can be found on Luke's MySpace page (http://www.myspace.com/luketemple). Brain is available exclusively through the Seven Inch Project website and at Luke's shows. Brain can be purchased here: seveninchproject.com/store.html.
