Alternative-rock warriors LUSTRA have made their second major musical donation to US troops for the upcoming holiday season, sending 10,000 copies of their latest album What You Need and What You Get to the military's rock fans worldwide. The donation, made through organization Give 2 The Troops, follows the band's previous donation of 10,000 special edition copies of their debut album Left For Dead in 2006. The band was also recently invited to play for troops sometime in the next year by Armed
Forces Entertainment.

"Whether or not you believe in this war we're wrapped up in right now, you have to have compassion for the brave men and women who are out there serving our country," said guitarist Nick Cloutman of the donation. "And if 45 minutes of music can bring a little light into their lives, we're happy to oblige."

"I'm a big fan of Lustra," says Give 2 The Troops president Andi Grant. "Their music is fun and innovative, and the troops love it. They've always been very supportive of the Armed Forces."

Originally from Boston but now residing in Los Angeles, LUSTRA has already enjoyed a storied career. iTunes sales of single "Scotty Doesn't Know" - featured in the film Eurotrip in a lip-synced performance with Matt Damon - earned the band a 7 week stay on Billboard's Hot 100 and Pop 100 charts, while Left for Dead has sold 185,000 digital downloads to date. The band has received over 6,000,000 song plays on their MySpace page, with 2,000 plays per day. On the road, LUSTRA has played alongside the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, The Brian Jonestown Massacre and Primus, and the band has just completed a wildly successful UK tour.
