Band Will Preview Songs From Upcoming Album for Warner Bros. Records

BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - June 19, 2008) - After spending the summer in the studio recording tracks for a new album, Meg & Dia will hit the road on August 15th for a headlining U.S. tour with support from Jonezetta, Danger:Radio and Dropping Daylight.

The band -- which is sisters Meg (guitar, vocals) and Dia Frampton (lead vocal), Nick Price (drums), Carlo Gimenez (guitar), and Jonathan Snyder (bass) -- will not only perform songs from their current album "Something Real" (which has spawned the two well-received singles "Monster" and "Roses"), but they will also preview songs from its follow-up for Warner Bros. Records, which they began recording in Los Angeles in May.

For the summer tour, Warner Bros. Records and Meg & Dia have partnered with Garnier for the beauty retailer's "Get The Look" sweepstakes. One grand-prize winner will win a trip to meet the band, receive VIP tickets to one of three shows sponsored by Garnier, and receive a Garnier makeover. The following three tour dates will be sponsored by Garnier: August 15th in Jacksonville, FL, August 20th in Albany, NY, and August 27th in Austin, TX. To enter, fans must text Garnier at "467467."

Meg & Dia have been on the road for the last two years in support of "Something Real," which Rolling Stone has praised for its "close, pristine harmonies" and "heavy-hearted tunes." The band spent the summer headlining the Hurley.com stage on the Vans Warped Tour, then did several dates with The Almost and Josh Moore before finishing out 2007 with The Spill Canvas. In 2008, the band continued its marathon tour with a series of high-profile dates with San Diego's Angels & Airwaves (fronted by former Blink-182 vocalist-guitarist Tom Delonge).

Released on Doghouse Records in August 2006, "Something Real" was co-produced by American Hi-Fi's Stacy Jones and Bill Lefler. Since its release, Meg & Dia have made their network television debut on "Last Call with Carson Daly," and have been featured in Teen People, Cosmo Girl, The Los Angeles Times, Alternative Press, Rolling Stone (which dubbed them a "New Artist You Should Know About"), and on MTV's "Discover and Download."
