After an almost 4 year hiatus the best dress band from Boston-- Dicky Barrett-Vocals, Joe Gittleman-Bass, Ben Carr-The Bosstone, Joe Sirois-Drums, Tim Burton-Saxophone, Roman Fleysher - Saxophone, Chris Rhodes-Trombone and Lawrence Katz-Guitar are back with that infectious brand of fun only the Bosstones can deliver. The upcoming release from the MMB's is indeed a DIY effort produced by Bosstone bass player Joe Gittleman "Medium Rare" is filled with new tracks co-written by Barrett and Gittleman as well as unreleased material and only released as Vinyl b-sides. Fittingly, the band has returned once again to its roots deciding to release it on independent label Big Rig Records December 2007.

December 2007 is shaping up to be a Mighty Mighty Bosstones fans dream as the band is also back with the HOMETOWN THROWDOWN (already sold-out) at The Middle East, kicking off on Wednesday December 26 thru Sunday December 30 for a five night stand as well as a New Years Eve date-details coming soon.

The HOMETOWN THROWDOWN--Boston's biggest party of the holiday season featuring plastic Santa's, dancing Menorah's and a holiday themed backdrop adorning the stage, a hard hitting, horn-driven, action packed five days of anthemic ska-punk delivered with care and conviction by THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES as well as many other music performances, you never really know whose going to show up.

Stay tuned for more MMB news!
