Nabs Top Slot on Billboard Hot Singles Sales Chart
For a band at which the industry has often snubbed their nose, it's just desserts that MINDLESS SELF INDULGENCE (MSI) keeps pulling punch after punch relentlessly. Following on the heels of last year's #1 Singles, "Shut Me Up" and "Straight to Video" from their previous album You'll Rebel to Anything, their new single "NEVER WANTED TO DANCE" has shot straight to the #1 position on Billboard's Hot Sales Chart in its debut week, beating out High School Musical, The White Stripes, and M.I.A. for pole position.
Culled from the upcoming album IF which will be released on April 29 2008 on The End Records, the CD single for "Never Wanted To Dance" includes remixes by Ulrich Wild, Combichrist, The Birthday Massacre, Tommie Sunshine, and Spider.
MSI are currently preparing for a tour of Europe prior to album's release that include four sold out headlining shows in the UK. They will kick off their U.S. headlining tour loop with The Birthday Massacre as support on April 29th in Cleveland's Agora Ballroom (tour dates below). IF will be released in four different cover art incarnations, including a limited edition deluxe edition and 12" vinyl. Artwork for the Deluxe and Vinyl editions were done by famed animator Jhonen Vasquez.
