In an unprecedented move, popular music website Purevolume.com (www.purevolume.com) will be exclusively premiering the highly anticipated new Scary Kids Scaring Kids video "My Darkest Hour" for two weeks beginning Monday January 30th. The premiere marks the first time that Pure Volume has offered its audience an exclusive video of this stature. In addition to streaming the video, fans will be able to download the video in its entirety to their iPods free of charge.
The video for "My Darkest Hour" was directed by acclaimed independent music video director Isaac Rentz (Taking Back Sunday) and features the six members of Scary Kids Scaring Kids driving in a van through the suburbs of Arizona rocking out to their song on the car stereo. The video's originality and hilarious slant has those select few who have seen it buzzing.
"The video turned out amazing," says Immortal Records' Jason Markey. "Its concept is so simple and original, people will wonder why it's never been done before. In a world where every music video more or less looks the same, this will be one of the most refreshingly original and funny videos to come out this year."
Scary Kids Scaring Kids (Immortal Records) begin a nationwide tour Tuesday, January 31st with Mest, Allister, and The Classic Crime. Their debut album The City Sleeps in Flames was released in June of 2005 and has proven a hit with fans and critics alike. It is available for purchase at Smart Punk (http://smartpunk.com/product.php?item_id=14563) for only $10. |
