Perennial pop punksters and pranksters, Reel Big Fish and Goldfinger are teaming up once again and heading out on the road for the Deep Freeze Tour. Fans may remember the two tore it up together on the sold-out 2001 Crouching Fish, Hidden Finger Tour. This time around they will be joined by Zebrahead and Bottom Line. The trek kicks off January 5th in Portland, OR and winds down on January 20th at the Avalon in Hollywood (dates below). Reel Big Fish and Zebrahead will then head over to the UK and Europe for additional dates.
The Deep Freeze Tour marks the return of original Goldfinger guitarist Charlie Paulson to the lineup and also the first official Reel Big Fish U.S. tour since trumpeter/vocalist Scott Klopfenstein's brief departure in late-September due to health problems suffered while touring in Australia.
Both bands are touring in support of their latest records, Reel Big Fish's We're Not Happy ‘Til You're Not Happy and Goldfinger's Disconnection Notice, and now with their lineups solidified again, audiences can rest assured they'll be treated to some mighty kick-ass performances.
Reel Big Fish is also scheduled to ring in the New Year by performing at what's being billed as the largest New Year's Eve party on the West Coast. Orange County New Years Eve will feature performances by Sugar Ray, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, The Violent Femmes, The Psychedelic Furs, Berlin, The English Beat, Bow Wow Wow, Lit and more from the Orange County Fairgrounds.
