Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

Stephen Kellogg is asking his fans to give him some help on making his next album and will be doing a PledgeMusic campaign. The 4 part album will be called South, West, North, East, and that’s because he will be recording in 4 parts of the country by 4 different producers/musicians. Pretty cool concept!

Stephen posted this on the PledgeMusic page:

I resist change. I always have and sadly, predictably, I probably always will, but a good idea is a good idea. Somewhere along the way the music business changed from being a netherworld where artists got record deals and worked to put as much distance as possible between themselves and the mortals they played for. What happened was that artists started connecting to the fans who bought their albums and tickets to their shows, as though they were…(wait for it)…real people. THIS is a good idea.

With the help of the PledgeMusic platform, I have begun making my new 4-part album “South, West, North, East”. It will be recorded in 4 different regions of the country, with 4 different co-producers and different groups of musicians. Every 3 months for a year a new part, with a slightly new take on things will be released. With your help, and through your pledges, we are planning an independent release in 2015.

When we started putting this program together, I asked myself one simple question. What would I want from my favorite bands and artists? What things would excite me as a fan? That’s the only litmus test that matters to me. If you don’t see something on the list of packages that are your go-tos let us know. Because this project will be ongoing for some time, we’ll be adding (and subtracting) a few offerings as we go. But we want this to be as exciting for you as it is for us. As always, that all begins and ends with the music, but for everything in between…let’s do it! I’ll write you a song, play your first dance at your wedding, or take you out to a Broadway show cause that stuff sounds like a WIN/WIN! Life at its best. Thank you in advance for your support of my music.

Be sure to pledge if you want to support independent artists.
