The Police: 16 for 16 shows sold out!

Tour Announces Sell Outs in All Markets Put on Sale Including: Los Angeles - Dodger Stadium, Oakland - McAfee Stadium & E. Rutherford - Giants Stadium

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 26 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Tickets for The Police tour continued to skyrocket over the weekend with additional sell-outs in every city put on sale thus far. Following last week's announcement of multiple sell-outs in Boston, New York and Toronto, tickets for each of the additional cities put on sale this weekend are also now sold out.

Earlier this morning, in excess of 54,000 tickets were sold at Giants Stadium in E. Rutherford (a combined 3 sold out NYC area performances), with an additional 52,500 tickets sold for the Los Angeles' Dodger Stadium performance & 47,000 for Oakland's McAfee Stadium event. In all, a total of 415,000 tickets have been sold for The Police with additional on-sales to follow!

Additional sell-outs this weekend included Seattle where a 2nd concert date has now been announced as well as in Denver, Phoenix and second performances in both Vancouver & Montreal. Also, due to overwhelming fan demand a third Toronto performance has also now been announced.

The Police tour has also confirmed show dates in Cleveland, Detroit, Philadelphia, Hershey, Edmonton, Dallas, Miami, Hartford and St. Paul. Information regarding the show dates, venues and on-sales in each of these markets to be made tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. Additional cities and venues to be confirmed in the next few weeks.

Special guest Fiction Plane will join The Police for the North American portion of the tour with additional artists anticipated for the stadium events including special guest Foo Fighters at the LA Dodger Stadium performance on June 23rd.

The North American tour is presented by Best Buy, the leading consumer electronics retailer with nearly 1,000 retail locations in the United States and Canada.
