Sorry Folks, No Image Is Here.

The Suffers will be releasing their self-titled debut full length album on February 12th 2016. The soul band played 150+ shows across North America and made their national television debut on Late Show With David Letterman. Established in 2011, The Suffers’ lineup was curated by bassist Adam Castaneda and vocalist/keyboardist Pat Kelly, who brought on trumpet player Jon Durbin, trombonist Michael Razo, guitarist Kevin Bernier, percussionist Jose “Chapy” Luna, and drummer/vocalist Nick Zamora. Jazz saxophonist Cory Wilson and guitarist/vocalist Alex Zamora filled out the rhythm section, while frontwoman Kam Franklin topped off the group with soaring vocals.

In a short time, the band has progressed from packing Houston venues to accepting invitations for featured performances at Hangout Music Festival, Pemberton Music Festival, Austin City Limits, Newport Folk Festival, Landmark Music Festival, Voodoo Music + Arts Experience, LouFest, AmericanaFest, UTOPiAfest, SXSW, Free Press Summer Festival, Untapped Festival, CMJ Music Marathon, and more. The Suffers have joined the ranks of Red Bull Sound Select and have remained a local favorite, accepting 20 Houston Press Music Awards in the last three years.

It’s hard to put just one label on The Suffers’ sound – the best way to describe them is feel good music, which combines elements of classic American soul intertwined with rock & roll. The band’s sincerity and emotion are laid bare in their debut Make Some Room EP, which officially released in January 2015. The Suffers have since garnered an audience so broad and varied that they may prove to be the panacea for a jaded and stratified live music scene. Make Some Room can be streamed on Consequence of Sound, here: http://bit.ly/1DItGXU. Purchase the EP on iTunes, here: http://radi.al/TheSuffers.

With excitement towards the band’s debut full length album, Franklin explains: “We are so happy to finally be able to share this record with the world. It’s been a long time coming, and we hope everyone else enjoys it as much as we do.”

The Suffers are set to release their self-titled album on February 12, 2016. For further information on The Suffers’ & to pre-order the album, please visit: www.ilovethesuffers.com.
