Thursday has just announced they've accepted a last minute offer to perform at this year's Groezrock Festival in Belgium! Taking place this weekend, the band would be replacing Good Charlotte on the bill, and perform alongside Bad Religion, Hot Water Music, Alkaline Trio, Cursed, Face to Face, Sick of It All, Agnostic Front, Anti-Flag, The Loved Ones, and many more! In addition, the band has been welcomed to perform in the Philippines for the first time in the band's career, at the country's ann
ual Kaogma Festival at the end of this month... From the band:

Hey all-

We are currently packing our bags for a last minute trip to Belgium, replacing Good Charlotte on this year's amazing Groezrock Festival (where we get to play alongside some of our favorite bands), as well as a tour of the Philippines! It's an honor and a pleasure to be asked to perform at Groezrock, as well as be the first American band asked to play The Kagoma Festival. We've received many letters from listeners in Manila, Quezon and other areas for many years. To all of you-- WE CAN'T WAIT TO FINALLY MEET YOU!!!! Our friend, Manny, will be coming with us to lend a little fill-in bass-guitar action.

See you soon,
Thursday

Joining the band on the trek to the Philippines will be bassist Manuel Carrero of the bands Glassjaw, Stillsuit, and currently, Saves The Day.

Full details of Thursday performances overseas:

Saturday May 10 at Groezrock Festival in Meerhout, Belgium w/ Bad Religion, Sick of It All, Face to Face, Agnostic Front, Cursed, The Loved Ones, Horse The Band, No Fun At All, 59 Times The Pain, and more!

Friday May 30 at A Venue in Makati (Thursday headlines)

Saturday May 31 at KAOGMA Festival in Camarines Sur:
The Kaogma (which translates to "good times") Festival is a week long festival with various activities, which commemorates the foundation day of Camarines Sur in the Philippines (May 27, 1569). The culmination of the week's festivities is a massive concert that is free to the public. Until now, all performances have been top artists from Manila and Cebu, the capital and the second largest city in the Philippines. Thursday will be the first US band to play the festival. From the promoter: “The Koagma is a centuries old festival celebrating the founding of Camarines Sur... about 450 years ago. Only Philippine based artists have performed. Thursday will be the first foreign artist ever. Music history in the works.”
