Los Angeles, October 10, 2007. ZOX are set to release, LINE IN THE SAND on SideOneDummy January 22, 2008. LINE IN THE SAND is the follow up to THE WAIT from 2005. The band will be doing a short warm up tour starting in Albany, NY on Nov. 12. They will be showcasing the majority of their new material.
Formed in 1998 while the band were attending Brown University in Rhode Island, Zox-drummer John Zox, guitarist/vocalist Eli Miller, violin/vocalist Spencer Swain and bassist/vocalist Dan Edinberg-initially started the band for fun, but quickly realized that they were onto something truly special. After self-releasing their first full-length Take Me Out, the band hit the college circuit and began to build a regional fanbase while simultaneously writing material for second album The Wait, which was originally released on their own label Armo in 2005. The album instantly attracted the attention of SideOneDummy who re-released The Wait in 2006 and put the band on tour with labelmates like Gogol Bordello and Flogging Molly, both of which were met with an enthusiastic reaction.
