Seizure Crypt channels old-school NYHC but replaces the tough guy posturing with some balls-out party madness. Maybe a little too mad – they’re downright wacky and spastic in a lot of places, but in a goofy, unlistenable way.

Reading the liners, I was struck by the polysyllabic lyrics. Lyrically, they’re not bad at all (though my standards for hardcore are low). I’m not a big fan of self-serious hardcore, but it might be interesting to hear these guys reign in the wildness.

Bottom Line: Piss-drunk (but not piss-poor) hardcore.
