Seven Psychopaths seems like a movie I would just love. It’s got a Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels vibe. The film has a great cast that includes Tom Waits, Colin Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and others. It’s from the director of In Bruges (which I still haven’t seen, I know I know) and the soundtrack is awesome as well!

The soundtrack is mixed between songs and score tracks from Carter Burwell. The opening track is “Angel of Death” by Hank Williams. Anytime a soundtrack or movie has a Hank Williams song in it, you know it’s going to be a good one! Besides Williams, there’s P.P. Arnold cover of “First Cut is the Deepest,” two The Walkmen songs “Angela Surf City” and “Stranded.” There’s also tracks from Deer Tick, Josh T. Pearson, and the Stone Poneys featuring Linda Ronstadt.

The score tracks from Burwell are dark and moody, but I have a feeling they fit with the style of the movie though. This score/soundtrack is a great soundtrack and I’m looking forward to seeing this film. I kind of wished they included a Tom Waits song since he’s in the movie though.

Bottom Line: Interesting soundtrack that makes me want to see the movie
Notable Tracks: Angel of Death, First Cut is the Deepest, Seven Psychopaths, Different Drum
