Bland, straight-forward alt-country. Even some slight edginess would be nice – this is more adult contemporary than indie. (The Bar Mitvah band-style keyboard playing doesn’t help.)
On the positive side, the vocals aren’t bad and the occasional banjo makes me happy. But this album would bore your grandmother.
Bottom Line: Meh.
