DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (February 9th 2010)

It’s time for DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup for February 9th, 2010! Some of the releases coming out today include: The Time Traveler’s Wife, Couples Retreat, JAQ’s Final Season, Sarah Silverman Program Season 2 Vol 2 and more! Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

Here are the DVD/Blu-Ray releases of the week:

The Time Traveler’s Wife

Does the guy travel into the future to find out if his wife either gets super fat or becomes a skanky whore?

Couples Retreat

I wanted to see this comedy but didn’t hear very good things about it. Anyone go see it? What did you think?

JAG (Judge Advocate General): The Final Season

Maybe Catherine Bell will go back to softcore porn?

A Serious Man [Blu-ray]

The Coen Brothers latest movie just seems weird. But now that I think about it, all their movies seem weird to me.

Army Wives: The Complete Third Season

Army Wives stars Catherine Bell, see JAG comment above haha.

The Penguins of Madagascar Operation: DVD Premier

How many lackluster spin-offs are they going to do for the penguins in Madagascar?

Running Man [Blu-ray]

“HEY CHRISTMAS TREE!”

The Phantom [Blu-ray]

This is on Blu-Ray? I’m surprised it even made it’s way onto DVD!

Bad Company: Hard Rock Live [Blu-ray] + Bonus CD

Bad Company are awesome! Saw them last year and Paul Rodgers and co. put on one hell of a show!

Stargate SG-U: 1.0 [Blu-ray]

I can’t believe how many Stargate shows/movies they have made. Unreal.

The Life and Times of Tim: The Complete First Season

Is this funny?

Sarah Silverman Program: Season Two, Vol. 2

Sarah Silverman is cute and funny, yet I don’t think I would like this show.

Gary Unmarried: The Complete First Season

I haven’t seen an episode of Gary Unmarried but my snap judgment on it is I think its a typical laugh track sitcom that’s on CBS.

Neil Diamond: Hot August Night/NYC

Cracklin Rosie get on board…

Forest Warrior

Don’t fuck with Chuck Norris!

Desirable Teacher

NOW this is a movie to buy!

  1. A Serious Man was good, much more bleak than some of their funnier stuff. Gary Unmarried is an enjoyable, if generic sitcom, recommended if you liked Grounded for Life or The War at Home. Couples Retreat was a movie that I felt guilty for liking as much as I did. And yeah, I want to like Sarah Silverman so much more than I actually do.

  2. I’ll prob. rent couples retreat for the hell of it but I’ll prob. skip A Serious Man. There aren’t too many Coen Brothers movies I liked.
