DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (August 14th 2012)

It’s time for the DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup of August 14th 2012! Some of titles coming out today include: The Hunger Games, Jaws, Community: The Complete Third Season, Dexter: The Sixth Season, The Royal Tenenbaums (Criterion Collection), Happy Endings: Seasons 1 & 2, Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory and more. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

The Hunger Games [2-Disc Blu-ray + Ultra-Violet Digital Copy]

Very good flick that I’ll watch a bunch of times. One negative, cinematography is too damn shaky sometimes!

Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory

Great documentary and one of the most important documentary series to ever come out. If you haven’t seen any of these movies, you’re really missing out!

Jaws [Blu-ray + DVD + Digital Copy + UltraViolet] (Universal’s 100th Anniversary)

“We’re not gonna close the beaches!” The movie that made me afraid of swimming in the ocean, and that was just a few years ago! haha.

Community: The Complete Third Season

I need to give Community another chance but by the time that happens, this show will be canceled.

Dexter: The Sixth Season [Blu-ray]

Yeah yeah, great show, I should watch, yeah yeah.

The Royal Tenenbaums (Criterion Collection) [Blu-ray]

Not a fan of Wes Anderson movies. In fact I downright hate them.

Happy Endings: Seasons 1 & 2

I tried watching a few episodes of this series but the characters bugged me. Everything just seemed so forced.

Glee: The Complete Third Season [Blu-ray]

The TV show to torture terrorists with.

Fallen [Blu-ray]

I always liked this movie. It’s a bit creepy with the way the spirit can pass through a single touch.
