DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup (December 15th 2009)

news_0909_dvdtuesdayroundup
Happy Holidays folks! It’s December 15th, it’s only 10 days ’til Xmas, some are celebrating Hanukkah now, some are starting to celebrate Festivus. Now it’s time for DVD/Blu-Ray Tuesday Roundup! Some of the releases coming out today include: The Hangover, Inglourious Basterds, The Goods, Taking Woodstock, Robot Chicken Season 4 and G-Force. Each week I’ll list the latest DVD/Blu-Ray releases and point out the ones worth buying. I can’t review everything I get so this serves as a nice guide for what’s coming out each week. Plus, it’s just fun making fun of movies and TV shows!

Here are the DVD releases of the week:

The Hangover (Unrated Edition) [Blu-ray]

I’m in the minority but I thought The Hangover was very overrated. When I originally saw the comedy, I didn’t really laugh out loud that much. The story felt generic to me, as if a college student wrote the story. But I’ll give it another shot on video.

Inglourious Basterds (Two-Disc Special Edition)

I really wanted to see this movie in the theaters but never got around to it. I heard it was QT’s best movie since Pulp Fiction. I’m definitely going to rent this since Universal didn’t send this to be reviewed.

The Tudors: The Complete Third Season

This show has lots of sex on it right? But I guess what TV series on Showtime doesn’t?

G-Force (Three-Disc DVD/Blu-ray Combo +Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]

G-Force looks too kiddy for my liking but I might give it a chance. Or should I even bother?

Star Trek: The Original Series – Season 3 [Blu-ray]

Another season of Star Trek I haven’t seen

Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie

Wow, what a Harry Potter rip-off. Let’s see how long Selena Gomez takes before she goes the Lindsay Lohan route.

The New York Yankees 2009 World Series Collector’s Edition

Baseball..ZzZzZzZ

Robot Chicken: Season Four

Robot Chicken is always better on DVD

The Goods: Live Hard, Sell Hard

This movie could have been a lot better..and I mean A LOT! It just falls flat and seems like a movie Jeremy Piven would do before he got popular with Entourage.

Taking Woodstock

Can’t stand Demetri Martin, can’t stand Ang Lee as a director. Yeah, pretty much not going to see this based on that.

George Lopez: Tall, Dark & Chicano

Lopez is a “White people are like___, but Chicanos are like ____” type of comedian. No thanks

The Mel Brooks Collection [Blu-ray]

I’d love to own this…if I had a Blu-Ray player.

The Head: The Complete Series

I think I always turned the station when The Head came on MTV.

Dat Phan: Live

Hack comedian extraordinaire. Still baffled how he beat Rich Vos, Ralphie May and Dave Mordal on Last Comic Standing.

Pussycat Dolls Workout

Now can you work out like a stripper singer too!
