Cheech and Chong have been reunited for over a year or so now, doing their stand-up act throughout the country. Now they are returning to the big screen…but in animated form. The trailer premiered on the net today and I’m not sure what to think about it. The animation looks like a senior high school class animated it for a project, and the story looks stupid and has an abundance of fart jokes. Originally I was interested in a reunion movie but after seeing this, I think I’ll just watch the older movies now. Watch the trailer below and let me know what you think:

The Princess and The Frog saw the return of 2D animation from Walt Disney Studios and I’m glad they returned to this style. It’s the style I grew up watching after all! I don’t know if The Princess and The Frog is a good movie or not but not sure it did that great in theaters. I have a feeling it will do better on video, like most things nowadays. The DVD and Blu-Ray will be released on March 16th, 2010 from Disney/ Buena Vista. The press release is down below:

You may notice the slowness of postings since it’s been the Holidays the last few weeks. I’d post some news but honestly, there’s nothing worth posting lately or I’ve just been too busy. Hopefully that will change this week when most of the industry comes back from vacation. So in the meantime, enjoy this Family Guy clip of Stewie Griffin yelling at Brian to pick up his poop.

When I originally saw the trailer for Up, I didn’t know what to think of it. I wasn’t sure if I was going to go see it or not. Since Up was getting excellent word of mouth from critics, I decided to see the movie on opening weekend in 3-D. I’m glad I saw it that way, because Up was one of the best movies of the year! Pixar continues to make impressive movies that both adults and children can enjoy and Up is one of those movies!

“Peanuts” is now available on DVD in an excellent 1960s DVD collection containing 6 TV specials. While I was never really a fan of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the gang; I decided to give “Peanuts” another chance. Maybe I’m just in a different generation, but I still find “Peanuts” boring and sort of depressing.

Pixar’s second feature film, and while it’s not as popular as Toy Story, it still is an excellent film done by an awesome Film Studio. Starring a huge cast that includes Kevin Spacey, Dave Foley, Denis Leary and Julia Louis-Dreyfus to name a few, the film really captures the essence of what life is like as a bug, or ant in most cases in the film. Directed by Andrew Stanton and John Lasseter, A Bug’s Life is a funny film that is also endearing and makes you feel bad about squashing and killing these little guys.
