Save BBC6 music and Asian Network stations

BBC6 and Asian Network stations are on the verge of getting taken off the air. It would be a huge blow to up & coming bands, and other non-mainstream bands if the 6 Music was axed. We all can’t just listen to the annoying pop music of BBC 1 Radio can we? I can’t even listen to BBC 6 sadly but I know we have a fair share of Brits on here so be sure to sign the petition that has been circulating around the net. Sign the petition here and spread the word!

Torchwood is a popular BBC show that stars John Barrowman, Eve Myles, Gareth David-Lloyd, and Kai Owen. While I’m not familiar with the show, that hasn’t stopped me from listening to some scores! I won’t even try to explain to you what the series is about because I don’t have the slightest idea, I guess it’s a spin-off or cross-over show to Doctor Who. I suggest just watching the series, since there are only 5 episodes. Or you could always spoil yourself and read the Wikipedia entry.

I have heard many different things (good and bad) regarding the cult British TV show The Mighty Boosh. What started out as a radio skit has developed over the years into a highly successful TV show across the pond. The boys from “The Boosh” also performed a live sold out tour across Ireland and the U.K.

Video: Big Train – Wanking in the office

Big Train was a comedy sketch show featuring Simon Pegg, Mark Heap, Kevin Eldon, and Catherine Tate. I’m in the mood for a laugh and this is a funny sketch where everyone is upset about not being about to masturbate (wank) in the office. Hey, when you gotta wank, you gotta wank:

RIP: David Carradine (Kill Bill, Kung Fu)

news_0609_davidcarradine
David Carradine, star of Kung Fu and Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill movies was found dead in a hotel room in Bangkok, Thailand. He was 72 years old and was out there filming a movie called “Stretch.” According to IMDB, he has a lot of movies lined up but not sure if he completed his work on those films. I’m sure more details will surface on what actually happened though. This sucks.
