The free compilation is organized by the Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, HeadCount and the NRDC Action Fund, this collaboration marks the first time free music has been used to prompt Americans to contact their elected officials. I’ll certainly check out the comp. since it’s free n all. Maybe this will make people give a shit.

Bonnaroo has officially & annoyingly announced their lineup today. All day today, bands & artists either announced they were playing the popular US festival or Bonnaroo announced the lineup on Twitter or other social networks. To be honest, It made things a bit of a headache to keep up. Tickets also went on sale today at 12 at Bonnaroo.com! As for the bands, the most notables ones out of the bunch include: Stevie Wonder, Jimmy Cliff, Dave Matthews Band, Jay-Z, Weezer, Kings Of Leon, Gaslight Anthem, Phoenix, Damien Marley, Rise Against, Gwar, She & Him, Dropkick Murphys, Jeff Beck, Against Me!, Michael Franti & Spearhead and Daryl Hall & Chromeo. Superfly Presents and A.C. Entertainment are excited to announce the details for the Bonnaroo 2009 DVD. Entitled Live From Bonnaroo 2009, the DVD will be released on December 15, 2009. The cost for the DVD will be $16.95. DVDs were initially made available to ticket buyers for the price of $10 including shipping and handling. There will be a limited number available for pre-order through the Bonnaroo website for $15 plus shipping and handling.

Triumph The Insult Comic Dog was making the rounds at Bonnaroo last weekend. Last night on The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien, Conan debuted the hilarious bit. He talks to TV on the Radio, Beastie Boys, and lots of hippies and drunk people. It’s perhaps the best segment he’s done since making fun of the Star Wars nerds at the Episode 1 premiere.
