It’s time for our NEW weekly feature, Tickets On Sale This Week! Some of the shows that are going on sale this week include: Murder By Death, Dave Matthews Band, Jimmy Buffet, and Jeff Beck. I’m sure there will be events & pre-sale offerings that I’ll miss, so tell me in the comments section. The Specials’ website confirms Terminal 5 April 21st show in New York!


The ongoing saga of the Specials USA tour seems to be getting finalized, since thespecials.com confirmed dates on their very own site! The Terminal 5 show on April 21st still stands, as well as shows in Cali at April 15th on April 19th in Toronto. Pre-sale info will be posted on the website shortly. I’m getting psyched! Now if I could only get a photo pass I’d be all set! All the details are below:

The Specials NYC show announced prematurely?


Did Bowery Presents prematurely ejaculated the news that The Specials were playing Terminal 5 on April 21st? The show was announced the other day here. A pre-sale for American Express cardholders was suppose to go on sale today but that obviously that didn’t happen.

The UK rock band The Rifles were finally in town to support their new release “Great Escape” that was just released over in North America on Nettwerk. I’ve been a fan of the band for over a year now but never had the chance to see them perform live. I finally got the chance last night to see them at the Mercury Lounge in New York City and glad I made the trek down.

New Model Army’s “Today is a Good Day” out September 15th in the USA


New Model Army have a new album coming out in the UK and USA. “Today is a Good Day” will be released on September 14th in Europe and on the 15th in the USA. The band will be taking a page from the Levellers and offering free downloads from the album if you sign up to their download website, which is located here. NMA will also be previewing a song everyday starting September 2nd. Very Cool!

It’s been over 2 years since I saw the Shins play Terminal 5, this time I wanted to check them out at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, NJ. The Shins play tonight at Terminal 5 in NYC, and also play their again on Thursday. If you’re expecting an energetic set from the Shins, you’ll be disappointed.

Glasvegas – Webster Hall, NYC

Monday night, Bryan and I were in the city for Glasvegas’ Webster Hall show, and the band did not disappoint! Signed by Sony/Columbia, Glasvegas are currently on tour in the US in support of their self-titled debut release, and have already spawned two popular singles, “Geraldine,” and “Daddy’s Gone.”
