The Princess and The Frog available on Blu-Ray & DVD on March 16th

The Princess and The Frog saw the return of 2D animation from Walt Disney Studios and I’m glad they returned to this style. It’s the style I grew up watching after all! I don’t know if The Princess and The Frog is a good movie or not but not sure it did that great in theaters. I have a feeling it will do better on video, like most things nowadays. The DVD and Blu-Ray will be released on March 16th, 2010 from Disney/ Buena Vista. The press release is down below:

Video: Family Guy – “Pick Up My Poop”

You may notice the slowness of postings since it’s been the Holidays the last few weeks. I’d post some news but honestly, there’s nothing worth posting lately or I’ve just been too busy. Hopefully that will change this week when most of the industry comes back from vacation. So in the meantime, enjoy this Family Guy clip of Stewie Griffin yelling at Brian to pick up his poop.

Video: South Park – “Kanye West is a Gay Fish”

news_kanyewest_0909
Since Kanye West has been acting like a “jackass” lately, there’s been an onslaught of viral spoofs putting West in his place. With all the spoofs, the ones who got a head start on making fun of this autotune hack of a musician, singer….um person were Matt Stone and Trey Parker. What can we say, Kanye West is a gay fish:

Hong Kong Phooey is coming to the big screen

news_0709_hongkongphooey
Why oh why must everyone make all my favorite cartoons into movies? Why can’t they just leave them there, where they are considered classics instead of crappy remakes and “re-imaginations.” Scooby Doo, Garfield, Josie and the Pussycats are just a few examples of what not to do when it comes to bringing cartoons to the big screen. Alex Zamm will direct the live action/animated movie with David Goodman writing the script. So who’s going to voice Hong Kong Phooey since Scatman Crothers has been dead for over 20 years? I really hope its not Jackie Chan. Why do I care, I’m probably not going to see this anyway…

“Peanuts” is now available on DVD in an excellent 1960s DVD collection containing 6 TV specials. While I was never really a fan of Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the gang; I decided to give “Peanuts” another chance. Maybe I’m just in a different generation, but I still find “Peanuts” boring and sort of depressing.
