Some of you know Nick Swardson as the gay roller-skating prostitute on Reno 911 or the guy from Grandma’s Boy but he’s also a comedian. His follow-up “Seriously, Who Farted?” to “Party” was released back in October 2009 and I’ve been meaning to check this out, just never got around to it until now. I’m glad I finally gave Nick’s stand-up a chance because it’s some funny stuff!

Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is a band I like listening to when I put on their CDs, but they aren’t something I normally listen to. The last release & debut on Side One Dummy was very good! Their newest Side One Dummy release comes out May 25th 2010 and I’m sure they will get even more fans from this release. It also helps that they are playing the entire Warped Tour this summer as well.

Fishbone have never released an official live album until 2009. That’s crazy considering they have been known as a premier live band for years! The band released this CD/DVD back in February in the States, but I believe it was released earlier overseas? Fishbone played a show in Bordeaux, France on April 23, 2008 and it was recorded and filmed for this release. This is a must-have for Fishbone fans!

Joe Satriani is one of the Music’s Guitar Gods and by far is my favorite guitarist of all time, and now fans can check out this live DVD and CD of the Master jamming on the guitar with “Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock.” Mixed in with new and classic songs, Satriani always delivers an outstanding performance, unfortunately for this DVD, if you would like a Seizure or develop Motion Sickness, than you might want to stick with just the CD version.

Philly ska band Ruder Than You are back with a new album! I haven’t really checked out their newer releases (“Philly Stylee,” “God Ghetto’s EP”) all that much but I was eager to listen to this album. Their first 2 releases are amongst my favorites from Moon Ska Records. “Creation Sounds” features 8 tracks in all; mixing ska, reggae, jazz, funk together nicely.

Flogging Molly releasing Live At The Greek Theatre CD/DVD in March
“Good evening Los Angeles, we’re Flogging Molly and this is what we do.” Those were the first words from singer Dave King on the evening of September 12, 2009, when Flogging Molly took the stage at the legendary Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. For a man who twelve years prior was playing at the helm of what was arguably a local bar band, headlining the Greek Theatre was surely a crowning achievement for him and his six compatriots.
