
Band of Horses will release their third full length LP, entitled Infinite Arms on May 18th through 3 various record labels: Brown Records, Fat Possum Records and Columbia Records. I guess that solves the which label are they going to release the CD on? This has been one of the most anticipated albums of the year for me so I hope it lives up to their last 2 albums. the album cover artwork will feature the photography of the band’s long time collaborator Christopher Wilson.

Columbia Records announced the North American release of Congratulations, the anticipated new studio from MGMT, out on Tuesday, April 13th 2010. Congratulations is the follow-up to MGMT’s debut album Oracular Spectacular, the 2008 album which skyrocketed them into the spotlight.

Jakob Dylan will release his sophomore solo album, Women and Country, on Columbia Records on April 6th, 2010. Soulful yet striking and ripe with sublime beauty, Women and Country is the follow up to the artist’s 2008 critically acclaimed debut, Seeing Things. This new collection finds him reuniting with acclaimed Grammy and Golden Globe winning producer T Bone Burnett (Robert Plant, Alison Krauss, Crazy Heart), who produced the Wallflowers’ 1996 breakthrough album Bringing Down the Horse. On the release, Jakob is also joined by Neko Case and Kelly Hogan, who provide back-up vocals to 8 of the album’s 11 tracks.

Columbia Records and Favorite Gentlemen are excited to announce more tour dates to Manchester Orchestra’s upcoming US tour. Starting March 19, the second leg of the tour kicks into gear. The Features, Chris Staples, and labelmates O’Brother will join Manchester Orchestra February 26 – March 4 and starting March 6 through the end of the tour, the band will be joined by The Features, Biffy Clyro, and O’Brother.

Motion City Soundtrack confirm “My Dinosaur Life” as the title of their new album and Columbia Records debut. The album was produced by Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus, who first teamed up with the boys in 2005 when he produced Commit This to Memory, and mixed by Andy Wallace (Nirvana, Rage Against the Machine, Sonic Youth). To give fans their first taste of what’s to come, the band will be releasing “Disappear” – their first new studio song in more than two years – exclusively through iTunes on October 20th.

This summer has been an exciting time for Glasvegas. The band was nominated for the coveted Mercury Prize, toured with rock legends U2, had a somewhat missing front man, are back in the U.S. for dates with Kings of Leon and today they will release the video for their second U.S. single “It’s My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry.” Check out the new video and the rest of the tour dates for the band’s tour after the jump.

The Atlanta natives have been touring around the world non-stop since the release of their second full-length, Mean Everything To Nothing, and there are no signs of slowing down anytime soon. In America, the release of the record was celebrated by a highly successful headlining tour this past spring and a performance on the main stage at Lollapalooza just a few weeks ago. In addition to the upcoming tour, Manchester Orchestra will also be joining Brand New and Glassjaw for their very special hometown show at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, NY, on November 28th. Before the Brand New dates begin, the band will once again hit the road with Silversun Pickups for a second run on their US tour.

Bob Dylan will release a brand new album of holiday songs, Christmas In The Heart, on Tuesday, October 13, it was announced today by Columbia Records. All of the artist’s U.S. royalties from sales of these recordings will be donated to Feeding America (http://feedingamerica.org), guaranteeing that more than four million meals will be provided to more than 1.4 million people in need in this country during this year’s holiday season. Bob Dylan is also donating all of his future U.S. royalties from this album to Feeding America in perpetuity.
