Some of you know Nick Swardson as the gay roller-skating prostitute on Reno 911 or the guy from Grandma’s Boy but he’s also a comedian. His follow-up “Seriously, Who Farted?” to “Party” was released back in October 2009 and I’ve been meaning to check this out, just never got around to it until now. I’m glad I finally gave Nick’s stand-up a chance because it’s some funny stuff!

The Boondock Saints II: All Saint’s Day has become such a cult hit that Troy Duffy finally got to make his sequel….10 years later. He made this for the fans pretty much. The original movie wasn’t a hit from the start but over time became a huge cult classic among a dedicated fanbase. Now that the sequel is out, fans will either love it or think a sequel shouldn’t have been made in the first place. Me? I think it’s an entertaining flick that’s very flawed, just like the first movie. My advice is forget the hype, and expectations and should have fun with this one.

The Essential “Weird Al” Yankovic is a 2 disc compilation that came out back in October but I’m just getting around to reviewing it now. Everyone should know the music of Weird Al, whether you like his music or not. His parodies on classic songs are either genius or really stupid. Weird Al is hit or miss with me personally; his earliest songs from the 80s and even in the early 90s were hilarious. I don’t really care for his later work though.

You maybe have seen Aziz Ansari before; maybe in Parks & Recreation or Scrubs or Human Giant? First and foremost, Aziz is a stand-up comedian and that’s how he started out with his career. This debut CD/DVD “Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening” is from his Comedy Central special. It aired in January 2010, but this performance was recorded and filmed towards the end of his Glow In The Dark tour in Los Angeles at Brentwood Theatre.

The 82nd Academy Awards aired last night and I’m assuming most of you saw it, well unless you live in the NY area and have Cablevision, then you missed the first 20 minutes. I don’t know what side is right or wrong, maybe they are both greedy pricks? I particularly hate Cablevision and The Dolans so I think it’s their fault haha. How convenient they are the one always in the middle of these disputes with the studios. But enough with that, the big news last night was that The Hurt Locker got 6 Oscars. The Hurt Locker and director Kathryn Bigelow beat out Avatar and James Cameron for Best Picture and Best Director. I think that was a little bit surprising. I would have thought that the two movies would have been split down the middle. Honestly, I didn’t like Hurt Locker. It was a bit boring, long, and not Best Picture quality in my mind.

Last week, Focus Features premiered three new clips from Greenberg, which stars Ben Stiller. The new clips feature Ben Stiller, Rhys Ifans, and Greta Gerwig. I’m not sure what to think of it just yet, but it’s a different movie that Ben Stiller has been in. It seems more like a drama than a comedy. The movies comes out March 26th.

Eddie Izzard’s “Believe” comes out in stores March 2nd. The DVD of British documentary explores Eddie Izzard’s one-of-a-kind wit through intimate backstage access to Izzard, friends and family, plus acclaimed performance clips. Eddie is a talented comedian and actor, and even though I don’t like all of his performances all the time, I still think I’d enjoy this documentary. Press release is down below:
