Richard Castle, played masterfully by Nathan Fillion, is a world-famous Crime Novelist who is out to find his next big character and novel. After killing off his last main character and suffering through writers block, Castle is inspired after meeting with the NYPD during an investigation in which someone tried to mimic one of his stories. There, he meets Detective Beckett, the beautiful Stana Katic, who is smart, sexy, and someone that Castle has met his match with. With Det. Beckett, Castle decides to base his next main character off her and from there, comes on board as a consultant with the NYPD. The series is light in nature, with plenty of humor, underlying romance, and certainly could be looked as a dramedy.

It’s been a while since I’ve enjoyed a television show involving a team of would be bad guys turned good. In fact, you’d probably have to go all the way back to the A-Team to find such a good mix of action, humor and trickery. But that is exactly what Leverage is, and it has quickly become one of my favorite shows to watch.
