2 February’s ago, English Beat and Bad Manners played in New York City at Irving Plaza and it was an excellent ska show! The bands are currently on tour together, touring select cities throughout the country. I didn’t want to miss out on seeing this spectacular ska show again!

The English Beat adds National and Canadian tour dates
The English Beat, headed up by Dave Wakeling, have added another batch of U.S. and Canadian tour dates. The band recently finished a cross-country stint on ‘The Spring Skaward Tour’ with Fishbone as support. A series of local acts will support the upcoming gigs.

The English Beat doing Haiti fundraiser this Sunday
Dave Wakeling’s English Beat will be performing at a Haiti Benefit show this Sunday, January 17th 2010 in California. The show starts at 8pm and ends at 10pm, and it will be held at the Red Devil Lounge in San Francisco CA. Definitely go out to this show if you’re in the area, to support ska music and for a good cause. Check out the flyer and spread the word!

The English Beat and Fishbone touring this Winter
The English Beat and Fishbone will be touring in February and March throughout the country. Both bands always deliver great shows and this tour is one not to be missed! The English Beat are celebrating their 30th anniversary (I thought that was last year) and Fishbone are celebrating their 25th anniversary. The tour will stop at The Fillmore at Irving Plaza in NYC on February 27th. More details are below:

Who said ska was dead? Apparently whoever said that wasnt at the packed show at Irving Plaza last night. English Beat and Bad Manners were in town, and were finishing up a winter tour together. Dave Wakeling and The Beat were celebrating their 30th anniversary, and Bad Manners were returning to the East Coast to play their classic hits. Its been awhile since I was at a full fledge ska show but I had a blast!
