Fat Wreck Chords has been around since 1990, and they are celebrating their 20th anniversary a little early. They released the album in December 2009 so they jumped the gun a bit. I’m okay with that since they are celebrating the label with a kick-ass 3-disc compilation featuring classic Fat songs, as well as rare demos and songs from the Fat Club series!

Dead To Me plays catchy pop punk that’s similar to One Man Army, that could because members of OMA were in the band. Jack Dalyrmple was in the band for the last full length and EP, but is absent this time around. Jack got married and had a baby so he’s off being a husband & father like he should be. That left Chicken & Nathan in charge of vocals. People expecting hear similar albums from the past might be disappointed in this.

Rock To Roll 2009 Charity Event happening in San Francisco on December 3rd

The fourth annual Rock To Roll charity event spearheaded by SideOneDummy Co-Founder Joe Sib is happening this year at Slim’s in San Francisco, CA on Thursday December 3, 2009. The event will directly benefit the non-profit organization UCP Wheels For Humanity. Headlining the event this year is NOFX. The night will also feature performances from Wax, Dead to Me and Nathen Maxwell & The Original Bunny Gang.

The folks behind No Idea Records and Southern Lovin’ PR have officially launched the full version of the FEST 8 website. The site includes a massive chunk of bands already confirmed for FEST 8 with promises of more surprises to come next week. The site also has weekend passes for sale as well as taking bookings for the two official FEST hotels.

Dead To Me

How did Dead To Me come about?
I met Brandon who used to play drums in OMA right after I got out of rehab, and I was looking for some positive things to do to stay out of trouble. We started playing music together and like a month or so after that he called Jack (OMA) and told him we had some songs and stuff and asked him if he wanted to come play. Jack was into it, and we had a different drummer at first, but the line up we have now has been together for about two years now.
