Armored is a movie that came and went like the blink of an eye. I had no idea this movie was even coming out, or knew what it was about. I guess it stars Matt Dillon, Laurence Fishburne, Jean Reno and Columbus Short. Armored is a heist movie, and I’m usually a fan of those types of movies so maybe I’ll give it a shot.

Paul Bettany and Dennis Quaid star in Legion, a movie about a bunch of angels…I guess? The movie came out last weekend and did well. Legion is about a fallen angel Michael coming to Earth to protect a baby that other Angels are trying to kill. The plot seems silly and stupid, but maybe the action in the movie is decent? Legion looks kind of bad though and not something I’d want to see in theaters. But just because a movie might be bad, doesn’t mean the film score is bad too.

The Hurt Locker came out in the summer time and I unfortunately missed it. But it’s available on video now so I’m sure I’ll check it out shortly. In the meantime, the movie has been getting a lot of recognition this award season. It’s been nominated in almost all awards and it looks like a terrific movie. An intense one as well! The score is also available now but i’m not sure how I feel about it yet.

Bright Star is a movie about English poet John Keats. The movie is based on the last 3 years of Keats’ young life. Keats has a love affair with his next door neighbor Fanny Brawne, but his life ends way too short at the age of 23. Oops, spoiled the movie. I didn’t even knew this movie existed, but it’s now available on DVD as well.

The latest predictable Matthew McConaughey romantic comedy is out of movie theaters and on video already. I don’t think I’ll see this one, unless I’m forced to. Ghosts of Girlfriends Past is based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, only the people that visit Connor Mead aren’t actually the dead people but forms of his former girlfriends. LAME!

Sam Raimi is back making horror flicks, something he was born to do. He hasn’t done a horror movie since the Evil Dead movies. Since he has a few more movies under his belt, I’m sure this is ten times better than what he started out making. Drag Me To Hell is about a loan officer who turns down a loan, and gets cursed in the process. If she doesn’t pass along the curse, she gets sent to Hell. So this is family film then?

The latest shoot ‘em up movie is Gamer, starring Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall. The movie was directed by Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor, who have done Crank and Crank: High Voltage. So you can expect more of the same with high-paced action, and outrageous storylines. I haven’t seen the movie but I’m sure it’s an enjoyable flick that doesn’t make you think too much.

Khan!!!!! I’ve always liked the music of Star Trek, just wasn’t a Trek fan until the new movie came out. I still feel cynical about watching the old Star Trek stuff for some reason. It’s just a whole new movie/TV universe to get involved with and I don’t know if I have to strength to sit through all those movies and TV series. There’s just so many of them. If anything, I’ll just watch the movies.
