I guess Disney thought it would be a good idea to make an album of a bunch of “hit” artists that have nothing to do with the actual Alice in Wonderland movie. I never got that part of the movie biz, if the song isn’t in the movie it shouldn’t be included on a soundtrack. There should just be a Danny Elfman release with that shitty Avril Lavigne song at the end.

Alice in Wonderland soundtrack tracklisting revealed
Yesterday MySpace exclusively revealed the soundtrack listing for the highly anticipated film Alice in Wonderland. Curious to hear the soundtrack but I’m also curious to hear the film score from Danny Elfman! Gotta love when Elfman and Burton collaborate! The music from the fantasy adventure includes Franz Ferdinand, Avril Lavigne, The All-American Rejects, Owl City, Mark Hoppus and Pete Wentz, Wolfmother and many more popular artists. Alice in Wonderland stars Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Crispin Glover. The film is directed by Tim Burton and will be released in theaters on March 5. Can’t wait to see this in 3D!

Matt’s Year in Review 2009
It’s that time of year for everyone to reflect on 2009, and look back at what was great and what wasn’t. Now, it’s my turn. You may see some similarities in lists but whatever, I tried to switch it up. Blink 182, Franz Ferdinand, Weezer headline FREE Virgin Mobile Fest
The Virgin Mobile Fest is doing something Ozzfest has already done and is offering up FREE tickets. Sounds pretty sweet to me, I’d probably drive down if there were better bands playing. The full lineup playing the one-day fest include: Blink 182, Weezer, Franz Ferdinand, Public Enemy, Taking Back Sunday, Bravery, Girl Talk, Jet, The National, The Hold Steady, St. Vincent, Wale, and Mates Of State. The festival will also include a dance tent favorites that include Pete Tong, Danny Howells and Lee Burridge. An interesting lineup to say the least. The festival is happening August 30th at the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.

Music Video: Franz Ferdinand – “No You Girls”
Franz Ferdinand will be playing in NYC in May and I’m hoping I’m shooting that show. I never saw them live before so it should be a fun time. Their newest album is great and really catchy! The band has released a new music video, this time for the song “No You Girls.” check it out:
