
It’s that time of year for everyone to reflect on 2009, and look back at what was great and what wasn’t. Now, it’s my turn. You may see some similarities in lists but whatever, I tried to switch it up. Folk rock band Great Lake Swimmers have announced a bunch more dates in the USA this Fall. The band is still supporting their awesome release “Lost Channels,’ which I recommend buying by the way. GLS will be playing NYC area twice, one show at Bowery Ballroom on September 27th and one in Brooklyn the next night at Music Hall of Williamsburg. Check out the full dates below:

Great Lake Swimmers have released a brand new video, which got it’s official debut on the newly revamped Pitchfork site this week. The Isaac Rentz directed video was shot in the late night hours on the storied hills of Topanga Canyon. With its plumes of pink smoke and motley crew of charters, it’s best described as “Tom Sawyer meets David Lynch”. Watch the video after the jump:
