New York City’s most unique concert venue, ROCKS OFF CONCERT CRUISE series will be launching its tenth anniversary afloat when it kicks off its season on the East and Hudson Rivers in April. Proving time and time again to be the best way to experience the NY Harbor, the Rocks Off Concert Cruise has been the home for some of the biggest and most memorable performances from some of the best bands over the last decade. “This was the most extraordinary concert we’ve done in New York since our first CBGB’s show,” commented Bad Brains’ guitarist Dr. Know about their June 2007 concert. Hoods’ latest tough guy hardcore album is called “Pit Beast’ which is on I Scream Records right now. The label is really signing some cool acts lately, Life of Agony being the latest. Hoods were on Eulogy Recordings for a little bit but I Scream Records is a good fit as well.

I Scream Records released Stigmata’s “The Wounds That Never Heal” back in June 2009. The band has stopped playing back in 2001 but have played reunion shows here and there. A lot of the members have gone on to play in bigger metal acts like Shadows Fall, Murders Row, and Crisis.

Piebald was perhaps one of the most beloved bands in the hardcore/ indie rock crossover genre. Starting out in 1994, the band released a ton of songs throughout their decorated career. Some of these songs are hard to find because most of the releases they appeared on are out of print now. Well, not anymore. Rise Records is pleased to announce the re-release of Piebald’s extensive back catalog.

Buffalo’s riotous rock group Every Time I Die have unveiled a sweat drenched, whisky soaked new video for “After One Quarter of a Revolution” from their recently released album, New Junk Aesthetic. Compiled of clips from an insanely ferocious show at The White Rabbit in San Antonio, TX, the video is a two minute ripper of stage dives and face melting shredding that will make fans salivate to see them live and pick up the album.

Hardcore-metal band Converge have announced a headlining spring tour in support of 2009’s critically heralded, masterpiece, Axe To Fall. The band has invited label mates and friends Thursday, who are currently out supporting their 2009 release Common Existence, to join them on the road for the first week of the tour. Converge will be joined by supporting acts Coalesce, Harvey Milk, Gaza, Touche Amore, Lewd Acts and Black Breath on various dates throughout the rest of the tour (see tour routing below). Tickets are on sale now.
