American Hardcore Tribal History Second Edition by Steven Blush

American Hardcore: A Tribal History (Second Edition) coming out November 1st

American Hardcore, the book, came out early 2001 and was a great success. So much so an awesome documentary was spawned from it and was released theatrically by Sony Pictures Classics in 2006. You can read our review of that here. Now there’s going to be a second edition of the book! Author Stephen Blush has interviewed more than 25 new subjects, added more than a hundred new pieces of art, supplemented edition one with countless new band bios and expanded discographies, has offered a new conclusion, and expanded the edition from 328 to 408 pages. I wonder if there will be a sequel to the documentary!?

D.O.M Destruction of Mankind – “Necktie for a Noose!!!”

Record Label: Self-Released
Genre: Thrash
Band Link: www.myspace.com/domdestructionofmankind
Buy on Amazon.com

D.O.M Destruction of Mankind was started by Dom Trombetta, and the band have a heavy, heavy sound that mixes hardcore, metal, thrash, and other loud noisy music. Dom was frustrated with other musicians for not sticking with the band, so he ended up recording everything all by himself. It’s impressive he can play all those instruments, but with that said, I just don’t like this album.

Madball releasing new album “Empire” this Fall

New York City hardcore legends MADBALL are set to release their GOOD FIGHT MUSIC debut this fall, appropriately entitled Empire. The record is tentatively set for release in late September or early October of 2010. “Empire will play off of the name,” points vocalist Freddy Cricien. “MADBALL has come a long way from being street kids to becoming very established in our genre, and even beyond the music. We’re finally at a point in our life where we’re taking control of our things, where as before we didn’t have control of some things or didn’t choose to have control. We have the feeling that we’ve built a little empire for ourselves with our band, brand, and different endeavors.”
