The anticipated follow-up to Band of Brothers, The Pacific, will premiere on March 14th 2010 on HBO. The series is long in the making but I think the final result will be worth it. The Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg produced mini-series will be 10 episodes, just like Band of Brothers. This time it will focus on the Pacific side of the War, mainly focusing on 3 main characters.

In honor of Veterans Day today, I can’t find a more fitting video to post than that of the new HBO mini-series The Pacific. Aint It Cool News and PacificFans.com posted the new full trailer from Tom Hanks/Steven Spielberg HBO mini-series the Pacific. Guess this aired during True Blood? The same people that brought you Band of Brothers are showing you the Pacific side to WWII. CAN’T WAIT! I thought the mini-series would be coming out this fall but apparently it’s now looking at a 2010 premiere date. Well that sucks but at least they’re getting the series right and not rushing it.

Kenny Powers will be back in 2010! That’s right, HBO’s popular series is going to be back next year for another go round with the man himself, Kenny Powers, starring Danny McBride. Hopefully they will have more than 6 episodes for the second season. If that wasn’t enough, HBO is releasing the first season of “Eastbound and Down” on June 30th on DVD, extras and bonus features have yet to be determined. Check it out after the jump!

Sopranos creator David Chase is back with HBO as he’s getting set to work on a miniseries for the cable network. The miniseries will be called “A Ribbon of Dreams,” and it will be about the evolution of Hollywood and the film industry. I wonder if the series will end with Journey as the screen goes black, and gives the viewers blue balls?

I’ve been following this new mini-series since it was announced. The Pacific will air sometime at the end of 2009/beginning of 2010 on HBO and it’s from the team that brought you Band of Brothers. The new series will be about the United States Marine Corps’s actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations.
