
Lee “Scratch” Perry, one of the most important figures in the history of reggae music, will be embarking on a brief US tour this month. As an artist, songwriter, innovator, performer, creator and especially a producer, Perry has been at the forefront of reggae music since the late 50’s ska movement. Lee is undeniably the inventor of dub, reggae and the “scratch” turntable effect used by DJ’s everywhere.

On the heels of their 2009 release, The People or the Gun, Anti-Flag will be hitting the road for their first run of U.S. dates since Warped Tour. The tour will feature very special guests Aiden, Cancer Bats and Fireworks. The four band bill will kick off the party on January 12th in Detroit and wrap things in Anti-Flag’s home town of Pittsburgh on February 6th. The band’s long time friends and fellow activists Greenpeace, peta2, and Amnesty International will also be involved with the tour and have a table at each show. Innes Clothing, owned by Matt from Flogging Molly, will be partnering with Anti-Flag to donate clothes and other goods to various local homeless and youth shelters at every date of “The Economy Sucks, Let’s Party!” tour.
